Founded in 2014 by Bill and John Storch and Ron DeSaram, The Cravens are a guitar-driven rock band with roots in the 1980s South Florida alternative music scene. Since their formation, they've become a staple in the local club circuit, performing a unique blend of classic rock, hard rock, alternative glam pop, and Americana from Port St. Lucie to Fort Lauderdale.
The Cravens have a prolific discography that includes three studio albums, one live album, an EP, and several singles. Their notable releases are "On The Line" (2018), the "Early Bird Special" EP (2018), "Dark Side of Love" (2019), "Cravenology" (2021), and "Live From The Funky Biscuit" (2022). Their 2019 single "Dakota Rose" has been played on over 250 radio stations and has over 50,000 streams on Spotify. Other singles, like "Distance of One" (2020), "Don't Come Home" (2021), and "More Than Sorry" (2024), have each exceeded 20,000 streams.
After Ron DeSaram's departure in January 2024, the band enlisted guitarist David Simone and began working on their next project. The result, the eleven-song album "Strangers To The Truth," was released in May 2025. The album, co-produced by Producer/Engineer Guy Gualtieri, has since received critical acclaim from music blogs, significant radio airplay, and over 90,000 streams on Spotify. To support the release, The Cravens performed a series of live shows at the historic Bamboo Room in Lake Worth, Florida.
The Cravens are back in the studio in 2026 recording a twelve- song album follow up to "Strangers...", tentativly titled "Home Of The Brave". The band has been surprising fans with both all acoustic or all electric performances, depending on the venue.
